Hosted License Servers
Hosted license servers are installed on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) virtual machines running the Amazon Linux 2 operating system. A hosted license server is installed on its own EC2 instance, and the EC2 instance is assigned to a security group unique to your organization.
HTTPS communication to the EC2 instance is enabled using industry-standard Let’s Encrypt Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificates managed using the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Certbot.
The log file of a hosted license server is configured to contain only errors (see Configuring Contract Tools License Server to learn about configuring Contract Tools License Server); no Contract Tools usage information is logged when you use a hosted license server.
